Failsworth chef wins another national award

Aman Indian Restaurant Executive Chef, Mohammed Lulu Miah, was once again voted one of the best curry chefs in the UK at the 2018 Curry Chef of the Year Awards.

Mr Miah was one of a number of chefs to receive official recognition for their contribution to a multi-billion-pound industry.

Around 1,000 VIP guests attended a glittering gala dinner at the Grosvenor House in London on Sunday 18th November, to honour the winners of the 8thAsian Curry Awards, organised by the Asian Catering Federation (ACF).

These are the nations only accolades dedicated to the entire spectrum of pan-Asian cuisines, rewarding the best curry restaurants and takeaways. Winning an Asian Curry Award is widely regarded in the community as the ultimate achievement for a restaurateur or chef.

Chef Mohammed Miah said: To win this title again is the greatest vote of confidence I could wish for, not just for myself but for my team who work so hard to make things happen at the Aman Indian Restaurant. The award will inspire us to keep improving and Id also like to thank all our customers for their help putting us on the map.

The awards were co-hosted by BBC TV presenter Babita Sharma and Tommy Sandhu from the BBC Radio Asian Network.
